Intel:

Project-based approaches with English language teaching

With Ricky David

Schools have to promote digital literacy but there is a lack of technological resources which make teachers wary of implementing this in classrooms. The aim of this session is to enable teachers to understand how we can teach to equip our pupils for a future in which technology rapidly changes but still needs the ability and skills which we can give them today. 'Scratch' sequences and video clips are examples of how pupils can show their knowledge effectively.

Ricky David teaches English in one of the largest secondary schools in Stockholm.  Born in India, growing up in England and Israel, she settled in Sweden 25 years ago feeling quite at home in a society that supports multiculturalism and innovative thinking. Ricky participates as a teacher in Stockholm's Learnify group which encourages digital fluency in Swedish classrooms.
